Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum are struggling with their new assignment. The powers that be in the police department decide that they are failing because they aren't doing the same thing they did in the first movie. They spare no expense to put together another operation using the two as undercover cops. This time they are in college because they look too old to be in high school. Ice Cube is back as their supervising officer. There is a new drug out that is making it's way through the local college campus called "Whyphy" pronounced the same as WiFi. A girl at the college had died from the drug, so the duo has been assigned to stumble their way through the case.
You will like it if...
You liked the 21 Jump Street movie. This movie is more of the same, but they have refined the formula to make this version funnier than the original. The writers also worked Ice Cube into a bigger role for this sequel. Jonah Hill is clearly the better actor and has mastered looking uncomfortable on screen. Channing Tatum fills the role of the dumb jock well. The funniest scene in the movie wouldn't be possible without Ice Cube. There are several laughs throughout the movie, but don't think about the story too much. If you enjoyed the first one then you must see this sequel.
